ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a large software company operating in the Banking & Investment Management industry, is seeking for an experienced Sales professional to lead a sales team to achieve its targets in the assigned region.   


Regional Business Development Manager  (Ref: 4435/RBDM/ESS/GR)

Key Accountabilities

  • To support and inspire a team of high caliber sales professionals towards the achievement of their goals, while leading by example.
  • Have significant local and International experience in selling Banking and Wealth Management software solutions to the Financial Sector.
  • Existing network in EU, especially GR, CY, Malta & Eastern Europe. The region could be adapted to the global teams’ skillset and market needs.
  • Create and build a successful pipeline and lead generation process via networking and Marketing support.
  • Prospects for new business opportunities by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients.
  • Develops tender documents, sales proposals and client presentations in cooperation with the Solutions team
  • Identify opportunities to maximise existing relationships in terms of revenue generation.
  • Builds and strengthens business relationship with current client on both C- and operational levels.
  • Negotiates agreements with new clients and periodically re-negotiates existing contracts.
  • Monitors, reports and counters competitor sales strategies.
  • Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction within accounts assigned.

Job Requirements


  • University degree in a relevant field. Postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
  • At least 10 years of successful software solutions sales in the segments of Banking and Wealth Management in local and/ or international markets.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • 5 years’ experience in leading teams.
  • Fluency in written and verbal English.
  • Additional languages will be considered an asset.


  • Proven capability to develop lasting relationships with clients, with effective problem solving skills and ability to present innovative solutions to client needs.
  • Exquisite leadership profile.
  • Ability to work autonomously and strategically.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Drive to achieve results with minimal supervision.
